One connection.
Find one word that pairs with each of three clues to make familiar words or phrases. Solve six rounds, one at a time, as quickly and cleanly as you can.
Here’s the idea
The answer is SUN: sunflower, sunglasses, sunset.
The connecting word can go before or after each clue. All three might use the same direction, or each might differ. There is no hidden placement pattern. Connections are familiar compounds or phrases, rather than loose associations.
Your daily six
Choose Classic for clever connections and lateral thinking, or Easy for more familiar combinations. Each mode has its own six-round daily set. Everyone playing the same mode gets the same rounds in the same order.
Press Play to start your clock. Solve the current round to see its three connections, then press Next round to continue. You cannot skip ahead. The clock runs while this game page is visible, including while reading a reveal or visiting the daily lobby. Switching tabs, closing the page, or device sleep pauses the clock. Returning to the game resumes it automatically, with no pause button or resume prompt. It stops as soon as your sixth answer is correct.
The daily set changes at midnight UTC. An open run keeps its original edition; reloading after midnight opens the new edition. Finish an older run in its existing tab if you want to keep that run going.
Unlimited guesses, honest errors
Each different incorrect word submitted on a round counts as one error. Submitting the same wrong answer again on that round does not add another error. Empty or invalid entries do not count. Capitalization, spaces, apostrophes, and hyphens are ignored when checking an answer.
There is no game-over limit. Accuracy and speed appear separately in your result, so you can compare a fast run with a careful one without an arbitrary points formula.
A hint when you want one
On each round, hints unlock after two and three minutes of active play, up to two hints. Each new round starts a fresh hint schedule. Choose Reveal hint when you want help; unlocked hints stay hidden until you ask. Guessing more often does not unlock hints sooner.
Hints offer another way to interpret the clues. They do not reveal letters, word lengths, or completed connections. Your result counts only hints you reveal, not hints you unlock. Time continues while hints are visible.
Save your place. Share your finish.
Your progress is saved in this browser after each guess and each hint. Closing the tab pauses the clock. Your saved time and current round resume automatically when you return to the same daily game. Clearing browser data removes saved runs. Classic and Easy progress are saved separately, and progress does not sync between devices.
After round six, share your mode, edition, total time, errors, and hints. Answers and clues are left out so your friends can play unspoiled. You can also review all six connections on the results page.
