Stuck?
Start somewhere else.
The same three clues can look completely different when you stop following your first idea.
Try both sides
A connecting word might precede one clue and follow the next. Do not assume the first pattern you notice applies to all three.
Use the most specific clue
A broad word like “set” can pair with many things. Another clue may narrow your search much faster. Read the clues in a different order if your first route goes nowhere.
Let a word change its meaning
A clue can be a noun in one phrase and a verb in another. Some compounds have meanings that no longer feel like their separate parts. Think of familiar expressions, not just a shared topic.
Check every connection
Before submitting, put your answer next to each clue. Can you name all three resulting words or phrases? A strong match to two clues is a promising lead, not a finished answer.
Optional hints unlock at two and three minutes of active play on a round. Reveal them only if you want help. The clock keeps running between rounds, and pauses while the tab is hidden or the device sleeps. Repeated guesses do not speed the hints up. Read the full rules →
